Then also Peter, the apostle, said in answer to those who expected the return of Jesus in their lifetime. ‘The LORD is not delayed in the sense of not keeping his promise. He is motivated by compassion so that all who can may be saved.’ The final part of Peter’s statement is “In the Lord’s eyes a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day.”

In Biblical time, prophetic time , in the year 2000, we are near the end of the 6th millennium, the 6th thousand-year day, at the cusp of the 7th millennium, the thousand-year ‘day of the LORD’.
